In 2011, Joelle Chariau (Galerie Bartch & Chariau) presented one of the most exceptional collections of fashion illustration in the world. This exhibition celebrated key artists at the height of their careers: Lepape at the beginning of the century, Gruau the 40s and 50s, Antonio throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s, to current artists Aurore de La Morinerie, Mats Gustafson and Francois Berthoud.

Joelle Chariau’s collection (Galerie Bartch & Chariau) shows the development of style through the different periods starting at the beginning of the 20th century with works by the most celebrated artists of their time: Erté and Lepape for Poiret, then Grau’s work for Dior, Antonio’s drawings for The New York Times Magazine, Vogue and Vanity up to the contemporary artists who collaborated closely to forming their own collection, Mats Gustafson, Francois Berthoud and Aurore de la Morinerie.
